when has garbage.com ever been anything but a waste of
time, save for the studio diaries about how shirley likes
the colour pink and microwave popcorn or whatever the hell
she wrote about?  as someone already said, the fan-run
sites have always given us more, and for free.
i've run an official site for a big band before and i know
how hard it is to get anything by a label and get any kind
of original, interesting content, but having to pay a
membership fee for whatever the hell you're supposed to get
is just unheard of and uncalled for.  cheating fans of ten
years out of money just weeds out those of us who have
twenty bucks to blow on something few of us have said is
worth it (to be fair, i've not paid it as i'm terribly poor
and have garbage concert buddies who have and thus can get
the presales).  it's hardly garbage's fault or shell's, but
it does suck.
at the same time, yeah, i'm glad you guys are having a
great time and yeah you sure are lucky, but guys, we get
it.
