i dont know if there are many irish people on tt.. and im northern but i
still know stuff.. also simon is from dublin, but like he doesnt know his
way anywhere.. no really thats true.. simon gets lost in dublin... i know my
way round it better than he does... also he *still* doesnt know where i live
(yes i remember that alison managed to direct the taxi driver at my party
and not you! :P)

anyways... thats off the subject

as ive said a million times.. cork.. *tuts* but you never listened to me.. i
mean you'll enjoy it but why the hell did you choose CORK?! you had the damn
choice of UCD in dublin - UCD is an excellent uni.. and the university of
galway is more central than cork.. cork is at the bottom.. you're close to
france but thats about it!

but yeah ive been thinking about it.. i said raynair http://www.ryanair.ie
from dublin but i think it flies from somewhere in the south limerick or
shannon perhaps so that might be okay.. you're relatively close to shannon
airport so when you're planning your flight to ireland you might think of
flying there its a huge international airport.. well relatively "huge" (aer
lingus) anyways to get out of ireland i prefer the plane.. see ryanair.. it
does the cheap flights. dublin to london to paris to brussels etc etc also
aer lingus from shannon or dublin.. i dont know any other irish cheap
airlines.. they are different to the ones im used to (uk) but yeah...

there is also ferries.. you can get ferries from rosslare and even from cork
or somewhere near it.. but they mostly go to france from down there.. maybe
to england i dont know.. :/ dun laoghaire (dublin port) goes to holyhead
which is in wales and from there you can go to various parts of england and
that.. although holyhead is in wales remember and to get to london it takes
ages and the traffic is REALLY bad.. :) but yeah.. you would have to get
coach or train.. however you'll be a student.. you'll be on the coach
probably.. you can get coach from cork probably to london even.. for one
price it includes everything.. www.gobycoach.com, www.eurolines.com i think
www.nationalexpress.com there will be a lot of transport links though from
cork to dublin to different areas in ireland cos it is a university town...

i havent been much to the very south of ireland.. it always hits me as being
super remote.. i dont know why thats so very hypocrital from me.. but im
like cork.. thats the middle of nowhere! but really i cant talk i guess you
could count where i live as being far from civilisation!

however if you make it to dublin or belfast i shall come and try to meet
you.. also i will probably be in london A LOT this year so maybe i could
even meet you there.. i do recommend that while you are in ireland you make
it to the north.. its very beautiful and worth visiting.. pat was here a
month or two ago and i dont know what he thought.. he didnt make it to co.
antrim but he should have.. belfast - an amazing city is nothing to the
county of antrim though

xx

hope all of this helps
