The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors to imagine that the Pet Shop Boys had asked them to choose the
12 songs, from a list of 40 that they've written in years past but which
have never been officially released on disc in "PSB versions," that would be
included on a new album. And the 12 songs that received the most votes were:

* "Disappointed," chosen by 62.0% of the voters
* "She's Madonna," picked by 51.6%
* "For All of Us," 47.4%
* "A Powerful Friend," 47.4%
* "The Patience of a Saint," 46.9%
* "Getting Away with It," 45.1%
* "In the Club or in the Queue," 43.2%
* "You've Got to Start Somewhere," 40.8%
* "Call Me Old-Fashioned," 40.4%
* "My Night," 38.5%
* "Don't Drop Bombs," 37.6%  and
* "A Little Black Dress," 35.7%

Of those 12, only four were in among my own personal choices. How many were
among yours? To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site
at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey Results"
button in the left navigation bar.

My new survey for the week ahead asks whether you have ever found yourself
seriously disagreeing with something that one or both of the Pet Shop Boys
have done, said, or expressed in their lyrics, interviews, or some other
way. And, if so, did it substantially affect how much of a fan of theirs you
are? Please mull this over and then, when you're ready, make your choice
from the options provided right there on my home page.

Thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I hope you all have
a marvelous week ahead. And, to my fellow countrymen and -women, have a safe
and enjoyable Independence Day!
