What an unattractive card. So unlike the PSB, or at least unlike the
enigmatic PSB of bygone times. I've always thought it tacky to bring up
controversial politics during holiday gatherings (and, obviously, in a
Christmas card). When my father brought up Trent Lott at the dinner table at
Christmas, I wanted to stuff a roll in his mouth.

I'd never put out such a statement in a holiday card. How could I expect to
be taken seriously?
