Matt,

I don't think anyone will slate you for writing that to be honest. I'm not
but I don't see why not knowing details like Butch leaving the band and
Shirleys reported break up makes a difference.

1: Bands break up all the time, we all know Garbage will end some day some
say after this album, including myself. Every band that breaks up is either
known in the press before the fans know, or most fan's find out via the
press first so I don't really see your point there. All bands end with
statemenst like we have enjoyed this and that but we are ending or this will
be our final tour.

2: You state that they band have a personal life, a private life that they
are entitled two. I really don't think it's anyones business to know about
there personal life. Shirleys and Eddies reported break up should be between
them and them only, not with the inclusion of 4 million fans, even if it is
being reported in Shirl's words. I personally don't think we should be
discussing this publicilly full stop.

3: The band are on a big label now far bigger than Mushroom Records (UK) was
so they (the label) will want almost instant comeback on their investment
they have spent on Garbage, the only place they will get this is from us,
the fan's - fullstop. Look at any of the other acts that are signed to the
same label they all have fan clubs set up by the label for extra revenue. We
use to pay to join Garbage Zone so what's the difference now? OK they are
making money from the ticket sales which I must admit I am against.

4: Yes commnication between the band and the fans could have been better
during the recording of Bleed Like Me but at the same time look what was
going on at that period in time, personal problems, internal problems, a
long term member leaving the band (Dan), outside producers/different
surroundings and changing record companies, just some of the problems.
Imagine being them and your world being turned upside down the last thing
you would want to think about is communicating these problems to your fans.

I'd say give this album a chance and see how you feel after, from what I've
heard people saying about the album it's far better than they expected it
would be.
