At last! Lou you have hit the nail right on the head. I too was going to 
post the same thing yesterday but didn't because I thought of it while 
making some food for some odd reason.

Lou your 100% spot on in the fact that if you sign up then you know what to 
expect and therefore shouldn't be able to decide what you do.

My Dad was in the army and served in Cyprus and Northern Ireland twice when 
the trouble first started, he never had any problems with going even after 
having a gun shoved in his back in Cyprus why because he signed up knowing 
what to expect as does any one who joins the armed forces.
