[trash-talk] support the troops

And if they had refused to go, or fight
? They may have ended up in prison,
but better than killing. How strong are your morals that you’ll kill for
something you don’t believe in? If these marines REALLY cared they would
stand up and be counted.

Amen, to what both Pilar and Thomas said. I do not believe we should have
invaded Iraq in the first place, but what's done is done. There's thousands
of soldiers and Marines, not only from the US, but from Britain and other
countries, sacrificing their lives to "get the job done." I'm not going to
get into whether they're accomplishing anything or not or whether they knew
what they were getting themselves into or not, but the fact remains that
they deserve our support. It's sad to think of all the families out there
that have been through a deployment or are going through one right now. And
I know I definitely think about it 'cause my husband is a Marine and he's
getting ready to deploy to Iraq a third time. Now, I never thought I would
find myself in this situation, I never thought I would find myself in love
with someone in the military, boggles my mind, really, but you can't dictate
what your heart feels and now that I find myself in this situation I can
appreciate what others in the same one must be going through. And maybe most
of you have never been in this situation and will never be in this situation
so you wouldn't know what I'm talking about, but empathy goes a long way.
Just something to think about.

And, btw, my husband and I went to see Garbage in LA at the Wiltern and he
couldn't get over how great they sounded. He loves "Bleed like me"
especially.

of my own drum...

i wanna screw up to the beat of my own drum...

scream. shout. wipe out...

it's a wonderful idea, but it doesn't work.
