[Trash-talk] Scala

At the risk of soundling like coming from another universe: In
Switzerland, at many places we still don't have the concept of
queuing. You have to keep track of the people who were there before
you and rely on others doing the same. Just going to grocery stores is
a headache. I envy the countries which have the routine of queing
(buses and metro station!) and can discuss the little details of who
may join the queue where under what circumstances...

The most recent innovation in post offices was the change from a
multi-queue system (Murphy says you're always in the wrong one) to a
virtual single queue system by pulling numbers. Things are improving.
