Subject: [Trash-talk] Please cut back the ngr posts

Dear trash-talk,

Since I don't post here very often, I should probably reintroduce
myself as the list owner of trash-talk. I've tried to keep a hands-off
approach to the list as much as possible, and this hasn't been a problem
until recently. I am getting increasing complaints of postings which
are way off-topic (ngr - non-garbage related) to the list. This
includes some recent messages which are entirely political and not
related to the list at all. Consider this as a warning that future
postings which are blatantly off-topic will result in the poster being
set to moderated (meaning all his/her posts require manual approval) or
removed from the list. I don't like to do this, but I also don't like
seeing complaints and people leaving the list over inappropriate messages.

Jim
