[Trash-talk] OT/NGR: Why I don't want to visit USA, ever, any more

Well, I totally agree with Bill Shaw and I'm happy to see what his opinions
are.

Anyway, I'm not American, so I guess it's not the same thing. I have many
strong opinions on this, on Bush and 9/11 and the Iraq war, but I'm not
going to share them here or with anyone because it might be misinterpreted.

What I don't understand is why the US goverment is mad at the French
government for not approving the war in Iraq, and saying "US helped France
back in WWII so they ought to help us now!", this is totally stupid! It
cannot be compared, and the French citizen don't think the war in Iraq is
deserved and should happen. For what reasons is this war happening? Who put
Saddam Hussein into power?

I do think the US government (and laws) has many flaws (don't get me started
on death penalty... is it a civilised country or what?), I would never want
to live there, but it has many qualities too, I love visiting (but I hate it
when I go through customs and they ask me thousands of questions), most
Americans I know are wonderful and I consider them true friends, I'm
certainly not an anti-American but when i'm in the US, I do freak out for
several reasons. And now OUR government is wanting to do as in the US,
putting up new laws and destroying our country and people. (ahhh,
capitalists. What matters is money and power, right, not people!)

(okay, I think I'm mixing very different subjects here! Ranting ranting, but
all those things are driving me mad!)

And I agree with Mruci, "Osama Bin Laden will magically be found or killed
nextAug/Sept, and Bush will be re-elected. And if you think it's bad now,
wait until he's a lame duck president and his only voice of reason, Colin
Powel, doesn't continue to serve the 2nd term."

Mmmm.
