[Trash-talk] OT: Why I don't want to visit USA, ever, any more

Well maybe CNN is lying to us and the "evil" Bush could me making the whole terror thing up to control the world as some believe, but I saw in person the reality of 9/11.  August 2001 I was in the world trade center and Feb 2002 I was at the same spot looking at a large hole in the ground so I am convinced the terror threat actually does exist and that's why we're pulling weeds in Afghanistan.  Have you forgotten about the genius who tried to light his shoes on fire on the plane?  Should we have let more of those fellas through by rubber stamping their visas? Also, what good are rights if we're all dead?  I hate to say it but a handful of middle eastern radicals have severely screwed it all up for everyone.  You can expect damage to be done to someone when the US gets attacked.  It's a healthy debate to have over rights vs security and someday maybe it will be figured out, but I think you lose a lot of credibility when you say Bush is evil.  I disagreed with Clinton sometimes but I never thought he was satan's helper.  If anything I was happy he was getting some action in the oval office.  A president has needs too.
Don't worry too much - there is an election coming up so if you want to go back to the days when we pretend terrorism doesn't exist, there is sure to be an appropriate candidate in your area soon.
The difference between the war on terror vs the one on drugs is:  I don't care if my neighbor wants to get high or enjoy themselves at a rave.  I DO care if he is building bombs and plans to use them.
btw Bowling for Columbine was an enjoyable movie.  I think a lot of people don't see it unfortunately because the title seems to suggest that school massacres are something to joke about.
