Great story. I'm with you.
At some point I'll find the time to tell a couple of stories about
expensive sound systems and the PSB. Long story short, people at an
audiophile store were very much impressed by the music I was using to
test speakers and amplifiers. On the flipside, some of the recordings
turned out to be a complete disappointment in terms of quality: I don't
know how many of you ever listened to Battleship Potemkin (one of my PSB
favs) on a 80.000$ sound system. Well, it's incredibly underwhelming.. :-(
