The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors, if the Pet Shop Boys were to choose a two-letter-word title
for their upcoming studio album, what they think it might be. And the option
that received the largest number of votes was:
* "I don't believe the next album will have a two-letter-word title," chosen
by 20.3% of the voters.
But of the various choices offered for prospective two-letter-word titles,
the one that received the most votes was:
* "So," picked by 12.7% of the voters.
To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey Results" in
the navigation bar.
My new survey for the week ahead may prove a bit controversial. But I
suppose it's OK to shake things up once in a while. It's not unusual to
read, in response to online references to the Boys' sexuality, assertions
that "it doesn't matter," often with the suggestion that it's somehow
inappropriate even to discuss the subject. So I'm wondering how *you* feel
about this. Do you think considerations of Neil's and/or Chris's sexuality
are relevant to discussions of their music? And since I'm also wondering
whether there's any sort of correlation with one's feelings on this matter
and one's own sexuality, I'm asking as part of the question whether you
consider yourself to be gay. However, I assure you that, as with all my
polls, this survey is completely anonymous unless you yourself choose to
reveal somehow (such as through the "Comments" feature on the "Current
Results" page) who you are and how you voted. Even I have no way of knowing
who votes and how. So please feel free to take a moment to make the
appropriate choice right there on my home page.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I
hope you all have a marvelous week ahead!
Wayne
