The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors to choose their favorite live versions of the twelve songs
that, as best I can tell, the Pet Shop Boys have performed most often in
concert. And the versions of each song that received the most votes were:

* The Performance version of "Always on My Mind," chosen by 31.9% of the
voters.
* The Nightlife Tour/Montage version of "Being Boring," picked by 39.4%.
* The Nightlife Tour/Montage rendition of "Can You Forgive Her?" chosen by
28.1%
* The Fundamental Tour/Cubism version of "Domino Dancing," picked by 23.1%
* The Pandemonium Tour rendition of "Go West," selected by 25.0%.
* The Pandemonium Tour performance of "It's a Sin," picked by 24.4%.
* The Pandemonium Tour version of "Left to My Own Devices," chosen by 27.5%
* The Performance version of "Opportunities (Let's Make Lots of Money),"
selected by 30.0%.
* The Fundamental Tour/Cubism version of "Rent," picked by 33.8%.
* The Pandemonium Tour rendition of "Se A Vida E (That's the Way Life Is),"
picked by 24.4%.
* The Pandemonium Tour performance of "Suburbia," chosen by 40.0%. And
finally --
* The Nightlife Tour/Montage version of "West End Girls," selected by 28.1%
of the voters.

By the way, I had suspected this poll might prove more challenging and
off-putting than most, and I was right: there were only about half as many
voters as usual. So I hope my new survey for the week ahead will prove more
popular. I'm wondering, of various artists with whom one both of the Pet
Shop Boys have collaborated, which ones (if any) did you begin listening to
only because they had worked with the Boys? To put it another way, the Boys
more or less introduced them to you, and you found you liked them enough to
seek out and listen to more of their work. Do any fit that description?
Thanks so much to Steve N. for suggesting this question!

Thanks as well to everyone who voted in last week's survey! I hope you all
have a wonderful week ahead! And, for those of you who observe the holiday,
have a very safe and happy Thanksgiving!
