The final results are in for my survey this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors to assign letter grades to the Pet Shop Boys albums (with a
few exceptions, such as the hits compilations). And the album that received
the highest "grade average" was:

* "Behaviour," given a grade of A+ by 47.2% of the voters, with an overall
average grade of A.

But it was a "close race," so to speak, with some intriguing outcomes. To
see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Survey Results" button
in the left navigation bar.

My new poll for the week ahead was inspired by a question asked me recently
by a personal acquaintance. He asked, "What would you say is the
'quintessential' Pest Shop Boys song?" By that he meant not necessarily
their "best" song, but rather the one that most clearly represents or
characterizes them -- the single song that would give a person who's not
familiar with them a good idea of what they're like and what they're all
about. Well, I've thought of a "baker's dozen" of their songs that might
fill this role, but I'm pretty torn over narrowing them down to one. So I'm
asking for your input. Which of the songs that I've already selected do you
think is "quintessential PSB"? Or maybe you have a different one in mind.
Or perhaps you even think the very concept is flawed. Whatever the case, I
hope you'll take a moment to mull this over and register your choice right
there on my hope page.

Meanwhile, thanks to everyone who voted in this past week's survey! And I
hope you all have an exceptional week ahead!
