  I just had a telephone conversation with somebody who, I'm sure, would appreciate remaining anonymous.  I will respect said person's anonymity and other wishes.

  I've long held the belief that online discussion forums such as this one are nothing more than perpetual jokes...places for fans of bands to exchange gossip, records, etc.  I never stopped to consider that they might serve some type of function or purpose. 

  Years ago, when my life was at a low point, I came here simply out of boredom and wasted endless hours causing all manner of havoc.  If something I said didn't cause enough alarm, I'd come back with something even more rude or more inflammatory.  Sooner than later, I found myself rambling on about things that I didn't believe in ( e.g. Nazism) or attacking otherwise decent people for no apparent reason.  I'll admit that I offended 99% of the list's populace and, quite frankly, didn't care.

  Ultimately, I went away.  I not only grew bored with the PSB, but one's "real life" became more demanding and left little time to post rants on Introspective and the like.  For me, the list had served a purpose - it helped me fill up a lot of empty time whilst recovering from a long illness.  I'm now apologising to those who might have been offended then. 

  Richard Back's was right...my heart's not in it these days.  I must confess that all of the rude remarks made about me prior to my arrival back on the list hurt (slightly), but I suppose I deserved them (talk about a really delayed come-uppance).  The past 24 hours I've been posting here have proven a waste of my time and yours.  

  I extend apologies to those who've been offended, with one exception:  Lydia.  Her butchering of the English language is positively revolting in every way possible and her demeanour gauche to a point that it makes me nauseous...so utterly sick, in fact, I'm going to leave this place until she does.  By posting in the same forum as something so inherently vulgar and disgusting as she, I'm lowering my standards.  We can't have THAT now, can we?  As such, I'm left with no choice but to leave once again. 

  *vanishes in a puff of green smoke*
