[Introspective] Playing the Performance DVD in North America

Thanks, Adam, for the advice. I don't have Xbox because I have a strong
personal aversion to video games.

I don't see "Region 0" logo on the Performance DVD box (maybe I'm just
missing it), but it does say "PAL: All region."

I'm not a member of Sam's Club, so I don't think I can pick up an
all-region player there. (Don't you have to be a member to shop there?)
I've looked for all-region players at various stores (Circuit City, Best
Buy, etc.), but haven't found any yet. I know I could buy one online, but
I'm hesitant to buy a high-ticket item (as opposed to something relatively
small like a CD, DVD, or book) sight-unseen. Besides, I've already got so
much stereo/audio/video equipment that I wouldn't know where to put an
additional player. ;-) (My current DVD player may not be an all-region
player, but it's got so many other cool features that I wouldn't consider
replacing it with an all-region player that didn't have the same additional
features.)

I think I'll settle for computer viewing until an NTSC version comes out.
On the other hand, if an NTSC version doesn't appear sometime within the
next few months, I'll seriously reconsider buying an all-region DVD player.

And as for "Where the Streets Have No Name...," there are several audio
mixes to choose from on the DVD. The "Original Stereo Mix" doesn't include
"I Can't Take My Eyes Off You," but the new "2004 Stereo Mix" *does*
include it. Very nice. I haven't listened to the DTS or Dolby 5.1
surround-sound mixes yet since I can't play it on my DVD player.

Thanks again!
