The final results are in of my survey this past week of 16 past Pet Shop
Boys singles that you believe should appear on the single-disc,
career-spanning "greatest hits/best of" collection scheduled for release
late this autumn. And the 16 top vote-getters, in descending order of the
number of votes received, were:

Go West
Can You Forgive Her?
West End Girls
It's a Sin
Always on My Mind
Being Boring
Home and Dry
New York City Boy
Se A Vida E (That's the Way Life Is)
What Have I Done to Deserve This?
Left to My Own Devices
A Red Letter Day
I Don't Know What You Want But I Can't Give It Any More
You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk
Before
Domino Dancing

To see the complete results, including the percentage of voters who voted
for each of the above songs (as well as those that weren't in the "Top
16"), please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click on the left navigation link
to "Past Survey Results."

Of course, this means there's now a new survey for the week ahead. And
after some of the more "contentious" polls of late, this one is a bit
lower-key: How many of the 2001 album reissues, featuring the "For Further
Listening" bonus discs, do you own? You can take part in this poll right
there on the home page of my site.

Thanks to everyone who voted in this past week's survey! It will be
interesting to see how close this "collective preference" is to the actual
track listing when the album comes out in a few months. Focusing on the
more immediate future, I hope you all have a great week ahead!
