According to the bands manager (who mailed me) she says that Butch was never
at any such interview, and even if he were it's untrue. Just more negative
information being spread by doom-sayers.

Hello everyone. I'm a fairly new Garbage fan. I live in Las Vegas. Today I
was listening to KOMP 92.3 and listened to the interview with Butch Vig. He
said that this is going to be Garbages last tour. He also said that they
might film the vegas show for a dvd to be released at a later time. As if
this wasn't bad enough he said that they were more than likely not going to
record a nother record. Butch said that his heart has always been working on
other peoples records. He also said that other people in the band dont want
it to continue. I have to say. It bums me out that this happened right when
i started liking them
