[Trash-talk] YLSF SVCD - plus "Do Not Call" registery

A week ago Emiel notified those of us on the Garbage DC Hub* about
an SVCD of You Look So Fine which had just been released by someone
in the music video group he's in (he shared it and posted it to
alt.binaries.music.garbage. =)

Today (Monday) he got another copy of the video (70.2 MB) which is
from the same guy and used the same DVB (digital video broadcast)
source (VH1 - 480x576), but the audio was sourced from Emiel's
single of YLSF (as opposed to the audio from the broadcast), and the
text logo "Greatest Hits" was removed from this copy. (Which he has
also posted to the NG, and he is sharing it while he's online. Also,
Michele has given this SVCD of YLSF her approval as "...the end note
is correct." ;)

[If you have SBC DSL and have tried their news servers you'll know
that they suck when it comes to large files (as almost all multipart
files that were posted from non-Prodigy servers which have an
article size that isn't small enough (=<250 KB, AFAIK) are
incomplete), but since Emiel posted this via one of Prodigy's
servers, it is complete. (And 64.164.98.7 along with 64.164.98.29
are two of the fastest (no speed caps, apparently) news servers run
by Prodigy. http://www.slyck.com/xnews.php http://help.sbcglobal.net/article.php?item=287 )]

*(http://livegarbage.dyndns.org) - come join us! It's often quiet on
the hub (though if you stick around 24/7, then you will see that
there are numerous things that are first (or rather, only) mentioned
there), but if you make some noise (e.g. have a 'chat' with G-Bot :D )
and hang around a bit, then it's likely that others will join in
(though some people either speak spanish only and/or just don't
bother to say anything as they're on a quest to download everything
that everyone there is sharing). The best part is that you don't
have to share anything to connect to the hub! (I don't... however, I
don't download anything without asking first.) And if you don't like
G-Bot, or if you want something better than DC++ (IMO) (e.g. so you
can limit the amount upload bandwidth used), then I would suggest
getting BCDC++ (http://utrum.dyndns.org:8000/) (the command "/ignore
G-Bot" (no quotes) in the chat bar will likely help you keep your
sanity. ;)

And the Do Not Call list... (I'm too lazy to post two messages. :P )

If you live in the US, have a phone, get calls from telemarketers,
and wish that you didn't (or if you know someone that does), then
this is for you:
