The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors whether they have ever had any unusually strong personal
connections of a particular Pet Shop Boys song to a specific event or
occurrence in their lives by virtue of the song's lyrics. And the response
that received the largest number of votes was:

* Yes, I have had that sort of strong personal connection with a particular
Pet Shop Boys song, although the release of the song did not coincide with
the timing of that personal event," chosen by 44.4% of the voters.

To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click one of the "Past Survey
Results" options in the top navigation bar or click the appropriate link on
my "What's New?" page.

My new poll for the week ahead is a sequel to one that I ran several weeks
ago, in which I asked visitors to select what they consider to be the
strongest or most effective lead single from a PSB studio album. This time,
however, I'm approaching the subject from a different angle; I'm asking you
to assess each album's lead single, stating whether you feel it was the best
choice for that honor or whether another song from that album would have
made a better lead single. Thanks so much to Eke Webb for suggesting this
question!

And thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! I hope you have a
marvelous week ahead! And I wish a very happy and safe Memorial Day to my
fellow U.S. fans as well as to anyone else who observes the holiday!
