The final results are in for my poll last week, in which I asked my site
visitors what they consider to be the best overall "Pet Shop Boys era" based
on everything they did during that period (music, live shows, music videos,
graphics, side projects, and so on). And the half-decade "PSB era" that
received the most votes was:

* 1990-1994, picked by 41.8% of the voters.

To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey Results"
button in the navigation bar.

For the week head, I'm engaging in my occasional indulgence of running not
one but two new polls simultaneously. My "main poll" for this coming week is
based on discussions I've read elsewhere online, most notably on the Pet
Shop Boys Community Forum. Many fans like some of the b-sides/bonus tracks
on the "Elysium" singles more than they like certain of the album's tracks
themselves -- so much so that they've said, if it had been up to them, they
would have replaced some of the album's songs with some of those bonus
tracks. So I'm wondering how you feel about this. Are there any "Elysium"
tracks that you, if it had been in your power, would have replaced with some
of those single bonus tracks -- and, if so, which ones would you switch?
What may prove a particular challenge with this question, however, is that
the number of tracks "deleted" and "added" must match so that the total
number of songs remains 12.

But I have a bonus of my own this week: a second survey question. You see,
I'm aware of at least two cases of fans living outside the United Kingdom
who have yet to receive the CD single discs of "Memory of the Future" that
they had pre-ordered about a month ago. I'm interested in finding out how
common a phenomenon this is. Did you pre-order one or both of the "Memory of
the Future" CDs (that is, place your order before the December 31 release).
If so, have you received it/them yet? And do you live in the U.K. or outside
the U.K.?

So please, when you have the chance, take a few moments to take part in one
or both of these polls right there on my home page. In the meantime, thanks
to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I hope you all have a
wonderful week ahead!
