It's quoting Marcel Proust's Looking for time lost (La recherche du temps perdu in french). A "madeleine" is a kind of cookie; the main caracher of the novel (la recherche is a seven book series; the book referred to is the first one) keeps thinking about the taste this cookie had when he was younger.

Just an observation: the lines "Why wouldn't I want you" and "Why wouldn't I fall in love with you" are rhetorical questions, I believe, and thus do not require question marks at the end.
Just sayin'.
