The final results are in for my survey this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors about their overall expectations for the Pet Shop Boys'
upcoming new album "Elysium" based on the information about it available so
far. And the response that received the most votes was:

* "So far everything sounds good to me, so I have great expectations!"
selected by 40.4% of the voters.

To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey Results"
button in the navigation bar.

My new poll for the week ahead deals with the release strategy for "Winner,"
the first single from the album. According to the official PSB website, the
schedule is:

* July 2 - Radio premiere
* July 3 - Single track available for digital purchase from iTunes (and
perhaps other online digital outlets)
* August 6 - Single released on CD with three bonus tracks and in two
digital bundles with bonus tracks and remixes

I'm wondering what you think of this strategy, both personally and from a
commercial/marketing standpoint. Do you like it? Do you not like it? Do you
like it personally but don't feel it makes commercial sense? Or perhaps the
other way around? Please mull this over and, when you're ready, make your
choices from the options provided right there on my home page.

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I
hope you all have a most enjoyable week ahead!

Wayne
