The final results are in for my polls this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors two questions. First, which of various one-word assessments
did they feel most closely matched their opinion of the new Pet Shop Boys
track "Invisible"? And the choice that received the most votes was:

* "Excellent!" picked by 37.1% of the voters.

And the second question was whether they felt PSB could've, would've, and/or
should've performed at the June 4 Diamond Jubilee show for the Queen. And
the option that received the largest number of votes was:

* "Yes, I think they *could've* gotten themselves invited to performed,"
chosen by 46.6% of the voters.

To see the complete results for both questions, please visit my "Commentary"
site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey
Results" button in the navigation bar.

My new poll for the week ahead concerns the recently announced title of the
upcoming new Pet Shop Boys album, "Elysium." I'm wondering what you think of
that title. But instead of asking the same sort of simple qualitative
assessment as I did last week for the song "Invisible," this time I'm taking
what I hope is a slightly more imaginative approach. I've presented 16
adjectives that might be used to describe that title, and I'm asking you to
pick the ones (yes, as many as you believe apply) that you believe are
accurate. And if you feel that it's premature to make such a selection,
there's an option for those feelings, too. So please take a few moments to
mull over the choices I've provided right there on my home page and, when
you're ready, place your vote(s).

In the meantime, thanks to everyone who voted in one or both of last week's
surveys! (By the way, the first question was *much* more popular than the
second.) And I wish you all a most -- dare I say it? -- *elysian* week
ahead!
