The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors which of various songs originally by other artists that the
Pet Shop Boys have covered live but have never officially released in a
studio version they would most like to be indeed by released in a studio
version. And the response that received the largest number of votes was:
* "I'd prefer it if they didn't release *any* of these songs!" chosen by
25.7% of the voters.
Of the songs themselves, the one that came out on top was "Philadelphia"
(written and originally performed by Neil Young), which was picked by 21.6%
of the voters. To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary"
site at http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click the "Past Survey
Results" button in the left navigation bar.
My new poll for the week ahead concerns the Boys' upcoming ballet "The Most
Incredible Thing." I'm wondering what you think of the choice of this Hans
Christian Anderson tale as the ballet's subject matter? I've provided lots
of choices there on my home page, so please check them out and select the
one that comes closest to how you feel.
In the meantime, thanks to everyone who voted in the past week's survey! And
I hope you all have a most incredible (and very good) week ahead!
Wayne
