[Introspective] Final results of poll on song "most improved" by PSB

The final results are in for my poll last week, in which I asked my site
visitors to choose the song previously recorded by one or more other
artists that, in their opinion, the Pet Shop Boys subsequently most
improved on, either as performers, producers, and/or remixers. And the song
that received the most votes was:

* "Always on My Mind," with 37.1% of the total vote (nearly twice as many
as the song that came in "second place").

When the Pet Shop Boys released their "Alternative" compilation of single
b-sides and bonus tracks in 1995, they also released in support of it a new
single, "Paninaro '95," which was a re-recorded version of one of the
"Alternative" tracks. So what if the Boys were to release an "Alternative
2" (which is perhaps unlikely, but let's pretend for a moment), consisting
of the single b-sides and bonus tracks released since the first
"Alternative"? Which of its songs do you think would make the best "support
single," either in its original form or in a re-recorded or remixed
version? Please give this some thought and then, when you're ready, make
your choice from the options provided right there on my home page. And
