The final results are in for my poll this past week, in which I asked my
site visitors how they feel about the Pet Shop Boys recording "political"
songs -- particularly in light of the fact that the upcoming album
"Fundamental" will indeed include some songs with a somewhat political
slant. And the response that received the largest number of votes was:

* "I often like political songs if they're done subtly or cleverly. But if
the politics are too obvious or overt, then I tend not to like it," with
24.2% of the total vote.

in the left navigation bar.

My new poll for the week ahead once again deals with an aspect of the
upcoming album. I'm wondering how you feel about the fact that it will
include the PSB recording of "Numb," a song written by Diane Warren. I'm
asking this because Warren seems to be one of those artists that pop music
fans either love or hate. So what do you think of our heroes doing one of
her songs? Please take a moment to register your viewpoint right there on
my home page.

Thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I hope you all have
a wonderful week ahead!
