The final results are in of my Pet Shop Boys survey this past week, in
which I asked my site visitors to rank the three "Disco" albums from 1 to
3, with 1 being their favorite. With the help of my trusty Excel
spreadsheet, I've compiled the rankings and calculated the averages. And
the "Disco" album that ended up with both the highest average ranking and
the highest number of #1 votes was:
* "Disco 3," with an average ranking of 1.511 and 130 #1 votes (out of 227
voters).
To see the complete results, please visit my "Commentary" site at
http://www.geowayne.com/psbhtml.htm and click on the link to "Past Survey
Results" in the left navigation bar.
For my new poll for the week ahead, I've decided to try something that may
be a little silly but hopefully a little fun, too. Imagine, twenty or
thirty years from now, if Neil and/or Chris (in retirement or
semi-retirement) were to write a tell-all "Pet Shop Boys autobiography."
Which of their song titles -- just the title, not the song itself -- do you
think would probably be the most accurate description of the book's
contents, even if it's not the actual title of the book itself? Please take
a moment to make your choice right there on my home page. I've provided an
assortment of promising songs for you to choose from, but if none of them
do the trick for you, feel free to email your preference to me at
psbfan at earthlink.net.
By the way, if you visit my site, you'll notice that the rotating cube is
no longer on the home page. Although I received a lot of very positive
comments about it (thank you!), it was causing problems for some people,
taking way too long for the page to load. However, I haven't done away with
the cube entirely. I've now moved it to a page of its own in my "Extras"
section, where it has now been joined by an additional cube!
At any rate, thanks to everyone who voted in last week's survey! And I hope
you all have a wonderful week ahead!
Wayne
