[Introspective] Re: Who Made Aurally 3?

Hi Silver,

I'm sorry - I don't know who made Aurally 3. It could be the same person who
made Aurally 1 and 2: the philosophy that seems to be behind the whole
series is to make available to PSB fans tracks that hadn't been released on
CD and/or were awfully rare at the time.

I can understand your disappointment, as Aurally 3 is largely a collection
of dub versions - partly because the related remixes had already been
released on Aurally 1 and 2, and also because dubs are the versions that are
least likely to be released on official CDsingles. However, if you own the
whole Aurally series, their cost is hugely surpassed by the cost of the
items that you can avoid buying. And most of those items are, incidentally,
vinyls up to 15 years ago and more, while the Aurally CDs are also
beautifully mastered. And there's still a lot of stuff around that
definitely deserves an Aurally 4 - countless versions of Opportunities, West
End Girls (Shep Pettibone Mastermix), It's A Sin (Dub), 2 or 3 Morales
versions of WTS, just to mention the first ones that come to my mind.
